LocalCleanup hosts free monthly community cleanup events in Kensington, San Diego every 3rd Sunday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. No experience needed and all supplies are provided.

The neighborhood borders Normal Heights and is close to the canyon trails of the larger Kensington-Talmadge area. Kensington Park provides green space for families and dog walkers, while the small commercial village offers a handful of restaurants and shops. The neighborhood's residential character means litter tends to accumulate along main roads, near bus stops, and at canyon edges where wind carries debris from adjacent busier corridors. Despite its smaller footprint, Kensington's canyon-edge location makes cleanup efforts here important for preventing litter from entering the natural watershed.
